The Center for Arts, Design and Social Research is a not for profit educational corporation based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Center convenes artists, designers, and scholars to share knowledge towards addressing urgent issues in global societies through workshops, residencies, exhibitions, publications, and collaborative research projects.
The Center for Arts, Design and Social Research is founded on the principle that creative work is essential to all human cultures and the foundation for building sustainable, interdependent, and just global societies. The Center’s programs include events, exhibitions, lectures, seminars, and symposia organized for artists, designers, activists, technologists, and humanities and social science researchers — and for the general public. The Center is a site for experimentation in the arts, technology, and research methodologies; and for the most advanced work and thinking about the future shape of planetary cultures.
